Day Three of the Knee Surgery

Day Four of the Knee Surgery

This is Marlene’s first day at home. Compared to the hip replacement surgery sequence she is way ahead. Getting into bed is a snap – walking is a snap – in general things have gone extremely well. She continues to have her knee wrapped in a ice water circulator. Tomorrow she has her first therapy appointment. After this 2:00 p.m. appointment there will be an update.

February 19, 2004

Marlene has been checked by her doctor and has to walk with crutches for the next four weeks (routine prescription for knee surgery). The pain is under control. We’re taking it one day at a time, however, things look very good!
